Assignment:
Students will create a “truthful” cigarette package. Using a covered cereal box, the students will create a name for their product. On one side of the box, they will illustrate what their product can do for them. On the other side of the box, students will list the ingredients in their product and the effects those ingredients have on the body. Inside the box, students will make “cigarettes.” On the outside of each “cigarette,” students will state a pressure line someone their age may hear regarding tobacco use. On the inside of the “cigarette,” students will identify a resistance skill response. The rubric from the curriculum guide shown on the following page will be used to assess the project.
